Creativity and a talent for tailoring has been part of her family for generations. Her great-grandmother was a master tailor and ran her own business. Her grandmother was also a dress maker and passed on her know-how and expertise to her grand-daughter, as well as fostering her creativity.

After finishing fashion design studies in Berlin, Kerstin Karges created design works in London and Paris, for Alexander McQueen, Martine Sitbon and Bernhard Willhelm.
